Is videography something my photographer provides along with photos?
Actually, these are two separate things that would be impossible for a single person to accomplish. You definitively want a photographer for stunning still photos but video is the only way you can truly capture your wedding day. It's the only way you can "bottle time" and relive it forever. Video gives gives you the full experience; the emotions, the feelings, the excitement, the crying, the laughter, i.e., ALL the real life experiences of one of the most important days of your life.
How long have you been in business?
Wes Riojas started Wedding Video Pros of North Texas in 2017 and manages a team of 2nd shooters and editors as needed. We capture around 50 weddings a year. Wes has been shooting weddings for 9 years and have been a videographer in general since 2007.
What is your approach to wedding videography?
Our approach to wedding videography is to capture the relational energy and emotional connections between you and your fiancé as well as with family and friends. We're focused on the story of your day.
Tell me more about how you work alongside photographers.
We're very team-oriented and work exceptionally well with photographers. We're definitely all on the same team with the same mission and that is to serve our bride and groom. At the start of the wedding day, we coordinate with photographers so that we are all on the same page when it comes to capturing getting ready, ceremony, couples sunset session, and reception.
Do you have lots of intrusive gear and equipment?
Actually not at all. Surprisingly, our set up is similar to your photographer and it is very common for for us to be mistaken as photographers.
Speaking of equipment what do you provide?
Other than utilizing multiple cameras for different creative angles, we also utilize a handheld gimbal that I use for moving/walking shots. This is handy for following the bride down the aisle with a beautifully steady shot. We also bring a number of mics for professionally capturing audio. We mic groom's to capture both your vows and we mic the officiant. we also set up mics for capturing DJ's audio during the ceremony and reception. We have mics to capture live musicians as well.
What is included with drone coverage?
When booking with Wedding Video Prox NTX, we'll capture drone coverage of the venue which is a great establishing shot for your wedding film. Weather and FAA restrictions, can affect drone coverage.
How can I be certain that I will love my wedding film?
We collaborate with our couples prior to the wedding to make sure we're going in with their wedding vision in mind. And after we make the first edit, we let my couples tell us exactly what revisions they would like us to make so that they receive the wedding film exactly the way they want it. You'll get to make choices on any choice we've made from the shots chosen, the voiceover used, and the music chosen.
Do you charge a travel fee?
If your venue requires more than 2 hours of travel to reach the venue, there will be a travel fee. Any travel over 3 hours will require a paid overnight hotel as well
Do you charge sales tax?
Yes. Sales tax is calculated on the invoice.
How does booking work?
We use Square for payment processing. To book, all we need is a completed and signed contract and retainer invoice processed. The retainer is 50% of the total to book with the remaining balance due one month prior to your wedding date. You'll receive invoices by email with a link to process payments from Square's secure site.
How long does it take to receive our wedding film?
You'll receive your wedding film no later than 6 weeks after your wedding date by digital download link.
